(Medium) Monster Hunter Wilds is the latest RPG attempting to claim the title of most detailed character creator in the ongoing customization arms race, a recent selling point of RPGs that’s gained such prominence in recent years developers have begun releasing character creators before the game’s actual launch.
While the customization found in Wilds’ character creator is worthy of admiration, what I’ve found myself most drawn to is one customization option the game took away — the choice of gender.
